Camp Vacamas adds to it's TEEN PROGRAMS

CREATIVE ARTS &RESTORATION TECHNIQUES (CART)

The Creative Arts and Restoration Techniques Program is geared toward teens aged 13 ½ - 16 who have displayed interest and ability in various areas of the creative arts including but not limited to fine arts, woodwork/construction, pottery and creative design. The aim of the CART program is to introduce campers to the creative arts and restoration projects through hands on activities in the artistic medium of their choice. Campers will have the opportunity to research artistic forms in which they have expressed an interest and will be able to experiment with creating works of their own design or restoring household or decorative pieces purchased from second hand stores or rummage sales including lamps, small tables and decorative ornaments.  Those campers wishing to develop skills in other artistic areas will be encouraged to explore techniques such as pottery, batik, wood carving, jewelry making, linoleum block printing and mosaics. This program will be available 2nd & 3rd trip.
