Vacamas Day Camp offers 3 and 5 days a week non-competitive programs in a supportive environment which encourages campers to set new goals and develop self-confidence, responsibility and leadership. Enrollment is on a first-come, first-serve basis. One- through nine-week sessions are available.

Program Schedule and Activities
The Vacamas Day Camp strives to improve skills and self-confidence while keeping campers active and focused throughout the summer months. The daily schedule is packed full of activities which encourage learning, development and physical activity. American Red Cross Swim Instruction is given every day in our lake-front swimming facilities. Campers also have an opportunity to take part in recreational swimming. Sports played at Vacamas Day Camp include your favorites but the emphasis is on teamwork, skill-building and fun, rather than on competition.
HOURS: 9 am – 4:30 pm.
Extended day care is available for an additional charge:
Before Care: 7 am – 9:00 am
After Care: 4:30 pm – 6:00 pm
Meals and Snacks
Vacamas Day Camp will provide lunch in our dining hall every day included in the cost of camp. Campers may still bring their own lunch if they prefer. Breakfast can be provided for an additional charge for those children utilizing the extended care options. Mid-afternoon snack is served to all campers before the end of the regular camp day.
The Vacamas Day Camp staff is comprised of mature, dedicated individuals who are committed to providing a safe, fun and educational environment for your child. All staff members are background-checked, fully-trained and carefully-supervised. Most counselors and all supervisory staff are over 21 years old. All counselors take part in a week-long orientation to prepare for the most important job of looking after each child’s physical and emotional safety. Each counselor has responsibility for between four and eight children.
In addition to the regular program staff, Vacamas utilizes trained professionals in specialty areas, including Boating, Arts and Crafts, Ropes Courses, Hiking, Nature Studies, Creative Writing, Cook-Outs and Campfires.
